Happy New Year from the Flux Team!
The holidays were a lovely time to rest and spend time with loved ones, but now we are back and open for business as usual!
Courses:
Weekly courses have resumed as usual and our students are back in the studio creating wonderful and inventive pieces of jewellery. They are being taken through specific projects to improve and enhance their jewellery-smithing skills and learn new skills.
Our short courses continue to be available to book on our website with the first commencing last weekend - a fab group joined us in the studio to create a set of fabulous silver bangles. We have many more courses coming up and we are excited for the months of jewellery-smithing ahead of us!
Flux Makers:
As ever, we are continuing to receive new and exciting works from our lovely makers, with new additions to the Flux gallery such as Rosie Lake and Charlie Lee of Maverickringsuk!
Rosie produces stunning fabric wall-hangings from her base in Wales. We met her at Craft Wales, Cardigan and found her work so unique and eye-catching. With already lots of interest, we are hoping for lots of sales of her brilliant pieces.
Charlie produces unique rings with a masculine touch - a first for Flux! Made with varying materials such as Damascus steel, titanium and whiskey barrel wood, Charlie's work is unique and of the highest quality.
Extra News:
We are also sadly saying goodbye to Poppy, our Gallery Admin, who over the past year has been a big part of the Flux team! We are now on the hunt for a part-time 'Gallery Sales and Admin Assistant', who is friendly, outgoing and has an interest in contemporary jewellery, art and craft. More information can be found on our instagram page @fluxbristol, or email us for more information or with your CV and a bit about yourself to apply!
That's it for the New Year news from us and we will be back with lots of updates soon!
Best Wishes, The Flux Team! x
