Lyndsay Fairley Rutile Quartz Pear Pendant

£182.00

This contemporary pendant hanging from a sleek sterling silver 20” snake chain. Unique rutile quartz stone set in a bezel inlaid with a unique pattern of bronze wires, creating a subtle contrast with the silver.

This pattern is laid out by hand; as with a drawing, each is unique.

Lyndsay’s ‘Na Mara’ collection, meaning ‘of the sea’ in Gaelic, is based on the messy, ugly compositions of debris created by the tides along Scottish beaches. Captured by the unconventional beauty of these moments, this is a theme Lyndsay has continued to develop in her work since graduating from The Glasgow School of Art in 2018.

A mixture of precious and base metals build a palette based on these beach finds; sandy tones of copper, silver, and gold, contrasted by the stark black of enamel or patinated metal, create pattern in metal like seaweed on the sand.
