Nick Reading brings a background in metalwork, welding, and engineering to the art of silversmithing — a combination that gives his work a precision and inventiveness rarely found in handmade jewellery.

He discovered silversmithing in 2013 alongside maker Alice Goldsack, and quickly found his focus in the intricate world of chain-making. Working from his home workshop, Nick developed a passion for tool modification and jig-making, using engineering instinct to push the boundaries of what handmade silver chains can look like.

In 2021, he launched Nick’s Creative Stuff on YouTube to document his process. The channel grew rapidly — passing 60,000 subscribers — as viewers around the world sought out his silversmithing tips, unusual chain designs, and generous, hands-on teaching style.

Now, Nick is sharing his work beyond the screen. Each piece in his collection is entirely handmade, shaped by years of quiet experimentation and a genuine love of the craft.
