Sarah designs and hand makes her colourful dyed acrylic pieces in her Brighton studio. Her jewellery shapes are inspired by mid century textile designers such as Lucienne Day and Joanne Groag, and abstract artists like Mondrian and Miro. In 2014 Sarah collection was sold at Tate Modern with the ‘Matisse Cut Outs’ exhibition and has been stocked by them ever since. A huge modern art favourite.
Sarah loves joyful shapes and colour combinations; endeavouring to push the boundaries with what can be done with my the material, new ways of texturing surface patterns and joining each component.
Many of her designs have hand etched lines on clear acrylic which is dyed and polished back to reveal the coloured pattern. All designs are highly finished to give a precious feel with silver findings.
The British Museum also sold a collection of Sarah’s alongside the exhibition 'The American Dream: Pop to the Present' in Spring 2017.
