Perfect for beginners and mixed abilities, this hands-on jewellery weekender introduces traditional silversmithing and jewellery-making techniques in a friendly, small-group studio environment.

What You'll Learn

Over two inspiring days, you’ll explore essential jewellery-making techniques including:

• Piercing and sawing metal
• Forming and shaping silver
• Texturing techniques
• Soldering and finishing
• Designing your own wearable jewellery pieces

What You Can Make

Using silver wire and sheet, you’ll create your own unique handcrafted jewellery, with plenty of opportunity to experiment and practise in copper too. Possible projects include:

• Silver rings
• Pendants
• Earrings
• Bangles or cuffs (depending on project choice and pace)

Who Is This Workshop For?

This jewellery making course is ideal for:

• Complete beginners
• Anyone wanting to try silversmithing
• Students looking to build confidence with jewellery-making techniques
• Those with some previous experience wanting to develop their skills further

No previous experience is required.

Small Group Learning

Workshops are taught in small groups of up to five students, allowing for plenty of individual guidance, creative freedom and a relaxed, supportive atmosphere with fellow creative people.

Our purpose-built jewellery studio in Bristol is centrally located with excellent transport links, making it easy to attend from across the South West and beyond — Just a 2-minute walk from Clifton Down railway station and shopping centre!
