Wilde Works - Resin 'Eclipse' (Hot Pink) Pendant Necklace

Description:

This striking Large Eclipse Pendant measures approximately 35 x 35mm (including the bail) and is paired with a 42cm (16.5”) flexible steel necklet, secured with a push-and-twist bayonet clasp.

Inspired by the stunning NASA image Quintet of Moons, taken by the Cassini spacecraft during the Cassini-Huygens mission (Reference PIA14573), the pendant captures the moment when four of Saturn’s moons align in the spacecraft’s field of view.

Each pendant is handmade from recycled sterling silver using traditional techniques such as sawing, filing, forming, and soldering. The silver setting is then filled with eco-resin, hand-mixed to create vibrant, unique colours. Once cured, the resin is meticulously sanded and polished to a glossy, jewel-like finish.

About the maker:

Wilde Works creates contemporary jewellery inspired by nature and social issues, working primarily in silver and resin to produce one-of-a-kind pieces and limited editions. Collections such as First Exploration—inspired by Carl Sagan’s Pale Blue Dot—and Snapshot in Time explore humanity’s connection with the environment through the interplay of natural and manmade colours and textures.

Exhibited both nationally and internationally, Wilde Works’ designs have been featured in Jewellery Trend News, Clare John’s Resin Jewellery, and Nicolas Estrada’s New Earrings: 500+ Contemporary Jewellery Designs. Mostly self-taught, Wilde Works began jewellery-making later in life and channels her practice into raising awareness for social and global causes, donating a portion of sales to charities such as the Disasters Emergency Committee via Work for Good.

Care Instructions:

To care for your jewellery, polish the silver with a soft silver cloth. Clean the resin gently using a drop of baby shampoo on a slightly dampened soft cotton cloth, then rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a soft tissue. Avoid detergents and harsh cleaners.
