Papermetal

Julie Bailey is the maker behind Papermetal, a studio jewellery practice based in a garden studio in Thirsk, Yorkshire. Her work is shaped by a close relationship with materials and process, drawing on a background in printmaking to create softened geometric forms in fine silver, embossed with delicate hand-cut paper petal textures.

Contrasted with brass, bronze and copper, the results are quietly minimal and deeply considered. Julie was twice highly commended in the National Platinum Awards and is a selected maker in the Crafts Council Directory.
